Cap’s Kooky Quartert has always been my favorite Avengers manifestation, and I couldn’t help but think that reducing the roster immediately to same would have drastically improved the pacing and thematic spine of this (and of course there would plenty of time spent with the the Widow as that was when she was first introduced, albeit with Black Canary nylon choices)…just have all the tent pole characters quit after that first scene. You pretty much nailed how I felt about this…this is a lot of movie to say it’s a total waste of time. When they moved to Hawkeye and Lindsey’s house in the country, it really was WhedonWorld for a little while, but otherwise it was mainly depressing watching his authorial voice fizz away like so much Alka Seltzer.
